Donate a bench in Ruskin Park

Make a donation to replace a bench in Ruskin Park, celebrating a special occasion or a loved one.

We run a bench donation scheme where we purchase and install a bench when you make a donation to the Friends of Ruskin Park of £1,100.

We are able to offer this high quality metal bench without an installation charge by working with Lambeth Council to replace broken or missing benches. We will agree the location and an inscription with you before accepting your donation.

Available locations

There are currently available spaces on the paths parallel to Denmark Hill and Finsen Road.

More details

The new benches are in the all-metal design, as pictured in dark green.

Each bench will have a stainless steel plaque usually measuring 12cm x 8cm to accommodate up to 45 engraved words – these could mark an event, celebrate a loved one, or perhaps share a favourite piece of writing. We can discuss longer inscriptions but this may incur an additional cost.

Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee a timescale for bench installation, but the process usually takes around two to three months.
